The Tree's Gift

The Tree's Gift
This painting is inspired by my childhood in the Pacific Northwest, where misty morning hikes and mushroom foraging were a big part of my Ukrainian upbringing. My parents often gathered mushrooms, and my mom turned them into incredible meals. This piece is a whimsical tribute to those memories. It took about two months to complete, as I faced challenges translating my vision onto the canvas. Though not visible in the final piece, it symbolizes growth, resilience, and overcoming obstacles—just like mushrooms thriving despite adversity.
